Color Crush:: The Peony

I had planned to do the typical color crush that I do every Wednesday, and then something facinating happened.

My sister and I bought my mom some peonies (from Safeway) to brighten up her day while she was in the hospital.  They were the most beautiful hot pink color with a bright yellow center.  These flowers were so gorgeous they catched everyone's attention.  Some thought there was no way they were real.  Others didn't know what type of flowers they were.  What was facinating was how the color changed.  They transformed in front of our eyes...from hot pint to a very pale yellow. 

The best part of these flowers is the joy that they brought to my mom.

Color Crush:: Blush

Blush is such a soft and sweet color.  It's not quite pink or peach or beige, it's blush.  A mixture of retro, soft hues, desserts, glamour and the cutest dog I've ever seen (other than mine of course).

Color Crush:: Black

I thought I would be smart and put together an editorial calendar so I would be able to plan out my posts a little better.  This way, if I know ahead of time what color I'm going to be crushing on, I can start gathering photos.  Well, I started out with one idea, then changed it and went another direction and then a completely different direction again.  Maybe because it was the mood I was in - not sure.  But I'm not going to fight it.  I'm just going to go with the flow.

So today's color crush is black - that oh so moody, hip, cool and elegant color.  I'm really digging it.  How about you?

Color Crush:: White

I love white.  It's bright, crisp, clean and refreshing.  I would love for my entire house to be white with pops of color.  The reality is that with husband, child and 2 dogs, that isn't going to happen.  By the way, I gave into my current obsession and ordered the ban.do jeweled bobbi pin (below color crush: white).  It shipped today and can't wait to get it.

Color Crush:: Easter Love
