Events:: A Pretty Party

I saw this Once Wed Tuscan wedding on Design Sponge last week and can't stop thinking about it.  These photos by Jose Villa are just stunning.

I love it when a setting which is intended for one purpose can be used for another.  I'm thinking a late afternoon garden soiree.

I'm amazed at the reclaimed table.  Everything is so simply set and the natural beauty of the space is the highlight.

The elegance of the place setting is just divine with the sprig of greenery set against the menu.  It's not overstated, just simple.

Ummm and the lighting?  Well it had me at hello!  That has WOW written all over it.  I'm sure the guests would be talking about that for months.

Sunday Coffee Sippin'

Happy Easter everyone!

We're enjoying some quality family time this coming week, so posts might be a bit more sporadic.  I thought I would mix up the format of Sunday Coffee Sippin' and give you some fabulous images of morning reads.  (Each of the images are active links.) Would love to hear how you like it.

Have a fabulous Easter!

Sunday Coffee Sippin'

Happy Sunday everyone.  I can't believe it's April 1st.  The months have flown by, this weekend has flown by, I wish they would slow down a bit.  I finally saw Hunger Games yesterday.  We ventured out in the rain.  The mister and the little mister saw it opening day (well...midnight).  I had to finish the book before I went to see it.  I'm glad I did.  I think I like the book better.  Much more detailed.  Which do you tend to like better if they make a movie from a book?

Have you checked out The Everygirl yet? If not, then you should.  They created this handy "How Style A Place Setting."

I've made a few things from Bakers Royale and they have always turned out great (not like her pictures...but the taste is there).  She's done it again with her Chocolate Cake.  Goodness me!  And want to know how to make your layers even? She tells you how to do it here.

I went to Anthropologie yesterday and bought this book.  Can't wait to start reading it.  I'm wondering if it will make me chic? I've been reading this one and this one.

Did you hear I turned off my email notification?  Find out why.

Loving the Easter round-up over at Decor8 and this one from Hey Look.

SEO is really confusing, but Design Sponge gives some helpful tips.

I love polka dots and I'm thinking about making a little art.

There is something about white.

I need to round up my girlfriends and we need to start having Girls Dinners.  Great idea Ampersand Design.

Organize Chaos?  Really?  Some great tips found over a Sous Style.

Weekend Round Up {current obsessions}

The little Mister heads to a week of outdoor education camp with the rest of the 5th graders.  Our guy hasn't been without his Mom or Dad for more than 24 hours.  Last year - the Mister went with him to 4th grade camp which was only 3 days.

He says he isn't nervous - I think we are more nervous for him.

So to get my mind off obsessing about the fact that I won't see my baby for a whole week - I thought I would share what I've been obsessing about this past week.

Navy Blue/White Chevron Stripe Lucite Tray

Isn't this Chevron tray the bomb!!  I found it over at new blog obsession - Breakfast at Toast.  If you're obsessed with it too - you can buy it here.

I love Geronimo Balloon Troopers...when I saw one of their latest creations over at 100 Layer Cake - well...my LOVE went to an entirely new level.  Brown - I mean...really.  This is the BOMB multiplied!

I do love a great calendar...ok, I am obsessed with them.  I don't know if that is a good thing or not.  I haven't found one that works perfectly for me.  I want my to-do's and calendar together and be able to mix in the little mister's activities.  I really want ONE place to go.  I've tried the "mom agenda" which is great if you have more than one kiddo.  I've tried doing everything electronically, but that didn't work (especially the to-do's) - I like to see everything.  So thanks to Aimee Broussard (who I met in NYC at the Martha Stewart Dreamers into Doers event), I might have found THE one.  Enter the "life" planner from Erin Condren.  It arrives in about a week - so I'll keep you posted.  Of course I HAD to get the CHEVRON one. :)

I really want to make this shiny, sparkly lamp.  Not quite sure where I'm gonna put it...it might have to go in the bedroom.

Back to reality... I'm off to Target to get the little mister last items for camp!
