Inspired By: A Table

I stumbled on this photo today and it made my jaw drop.  It's just stunning, organic and elegant.  I love how the trees in the wood crates are the centerpieces and each place setting offers a delicate arrangement for the guest.  So simple, yet so impactful.

This is perfect for a rehearsal dinner, wedding or executive dinner.  I would say this table has that "x-factor," wouldn't you?

Color Crush:: Lavender

The soft, sweet shade of lavender is this weeks color crush.  I personally love lavender with a punch of a bright color, I think it makes such a statement.  But these soft shades of pastel just have me smitten.  It all looks so calming, except for the last picture which just looks like a really fun party.

Events:: A Pretty Party

I saw this Once Wed Tuscan wedding on Design Sponge last week and can't stop thinking about it.  These photos by Jose Villa are just stunning.

I love it when a setting which is intended for one purpose can be used for another.  I'm thinking a late afternoon garden soiree.

I'm amazed at the reclaimed table.  Everything is so simply set and the natural beauty of the space is the highlight.

The elegance of the place setting is just divine with the sprig of greenery set against the menu.  It's not overstated, just simple.

Ummm and the lighting?  Well it had me at hello!  That has WOW written all over it.  I'm sure the guests would be talking about that for months.

I DO!

I've been married for 15 years and after watching this wedding video of Oh, Hello Friend - it makes me want to get married all over again.  Hmmm - I wonder if the Mister will go for it?

Anyhoo - the details are BEYOND any imagination.

I'm in LOVE with the vintage feel.  Everything and everyone looked so unbelievably relaxed.  What really stood out was movement.  That might sound strange - but when you go to receptions people tend to stay in their own group.  Maybe they did here - but it definitely didn't look like it.

The mix of picnic blankets and tables is just brilliant.  They didn't set up a typical buffet - oh no...they set up a PICNIC basket buffet.  L O V E!!!

I love the fact they didn't get the video until they had been married for a year.  They were able to relive every joyful moment all over again.

Enjoy!
