Coffee Sippin' Saturday (& discount codes)

(I chose this picture above, because it made no sense - it was just an awesome picture of a GIGANTIC dog - taking a page out Jonathan Adler's success - see video link below)

The house is quiet and everyone is sleeping.  We had a late night of fun with friends.  We went to the Danville Tree Lighting ceremony with a few thousand Danville residents and then after, hung out by the fire eating pizza, drinking wine and laughing.  The little mister was enjoying his video game time.

It's been a while since I've done a weekend round up of fun links around the web.  My google reader is just jammed packed with some good stuff.

This JCrew online gift guide is insane - especially the moving parts.

This lovely lady inspired me to try crossfit.  2 classes in and I'm loving it.  Have you tried it before?

I've been wanting to make coasters...kinda random, but really want to do it.

We have an advent calendar every year for the little mister and each year it's different.  I'm really liking this one.

This is a crazy round-up of holiday cards and wraps.

The secret to Jonathan Adler's success - Nothing to Gain and Nothing to Lose.  So good and every creative should watch.

Chalk spray that would be such a fun element for any event or party.

Sunday Coffee Sippin'

I need a pool, stat!

Hi friends.  Had a great event at ZED451 in Chicago this past Thursday.  Such an awesome venue.  The outdoor deck was amazing - not to mention the weather and the food was scrumptious.  I'm actually going to be heading into the kitchen in a few minutes to attempt to make 2 of dishes that we had there...Shaved Brussel Sprout Caesar Salad (OMG - aMAZing!) and Etole Salad.  Wish me luck.

On to this weeks Sunday Coffee Sippin' reads. (FYI - there is a theme emerging...can't you tell?)

Sunday Coffee Sippin'

Happy Sunday!!  Have you all recovered from the Cinco de Mayo activities?

This has been a busy week.  Just finished up a roadshow series for a client and it was a huge success for them.  Finalized the new ROAR logo with Amanda Genther Designs and starting to work on the new website.  Kinda exciting!!

Now I'm off to enjoy a relaxing Sunday.  Here are my coffee sippin' reads of the week.

A DIY Mother's Day message for your mom via a Subtle Revelry.

Loving all the home inspiration at this new little discovery - Sweet Home Style.

Forget balloon poodles - how about some fruit via Oh! Happy Day.

This must have been kitchen week in the blogosphere.  Loving Alaina's kitchen inspirations over at Live Creating Yourself & Made By Girls, Erin from Apartment 34's big kitchen and Caitlin from Sacramento Street's small kitchen were talking about how to style your kitchen countertop over at the Everygirl.  Inspiration galore!!

I would have liked to be a guest at this Mother's Day Brunch from A Cup of Jo & Pinhole Press.

I'm curling up with the new issue of Rue!  Oh and have you seen the latest issue of Matchbook Magazine?

A Taco fiesta as a first birthday? So fun over at 100 Layer Cake.

The next time I'm in LA - I'm gonna have to head to Joan's On 3rd.  Thanks Dust Jacket Attic for the introduction.

Talking about things is great - but you need to put some action behind those words.  Wise words from Making Things Happen.  And if you need a reminder of what fires you up - Emily from Making Things Happen made this great printable so you will always be reminded.

Privet House at Target - yes please.

Sunday Coffee Sippin'

Happy Sunday friends.  Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.  Mine has been very relaxing.  Yesterday I was able to get the ever so needed haircut and highlight and had an impromptu early dinner date with a dear friend.  We ate so much that we ended the evening with a nice walk so our gi-normous belly's could go back to normal.  It was great to catch up and just "be."  This is a picture from our walk.

On to this weeks Sunday Coffee Sippin' reads.

A Great idea for a house warming gift - a taco box.

These DIY Gilded Notebooks are to die for.

I'm on the hunt for the new Domino Magazine.

Need to know a way to tie a scarf?  Here are 40 ways.

Loving the layout of this non-traditional resume.

I would enjoy sitting on any of these porches

I need these for my next event.

Great advice.  Before you go shopping to design your space, define your space first.

Sunday Coffee Sippin'

Happy Sunday everyone.  What are your plans today?  We're going to relax, maybe take a swim in the pool and just spend time as a family.  Last night was our first hot tub of the season and the grill was going.  It was perfection.  The last 2 weeks have been crazy that I definitely have a lot of catching up to do with my favorite blog reads.  See this picture above...that's where I'm sippin' my coffee and enjoying my morning reads.  Hope you enjoy.

The latest issue of Styled Magazine is out and it is full of inspiration.

Great DIY Pouch Bag for leftovers from A Girl Who Makes.

Summer is coming so that calls for some cocktail popsicles from Bakers Royale.

I'm loving Crystal Gentilello's new website and blog.  She is the editor of RUE - one of my favorite magazines.

You have to check out House of Earnest's new blog.  Loving the design and super excited because Amanda Genther Designs (who designed Erin's blog) is designing ROAR's new website.

I'm loving this kitchen.

I would love to have Sunday Supper at this table.
