Sunday Coffee Sippin'

Happy Easter everyone!

We're enjoying some quality family time this coming week, so posts might be a bit more sporadic.  I thought I would mix up the format of Sunday Coffee Sippin' and give you some fabulous images of morning reads.  (Each of the images are active links.) Would love to hear how you like it.

Have a fabulous Easter!

Sunday Coffee Sippin'

Happy Sunday everyone.  I can't believe it's April 1st.  The months have flown by, this weekend has flown by, I wish they would slow down a bit.  I finally saw Hunger Games yesterday.  We ventured out in the rain.  The mister and the little mister saw it opening day (well...midnight).  I had to finish the book before I went to see it.  I'm glad I did.  I think I like the book better.  Much more detailed.  Which do you tend to like better if they make a movie from a book?

Have you checked out The Everygirl yet? If not, then you should.  They created this handy "How Style A Place Setting."

I've made a few things from Bakers Royale and they have always turned out great (not like her pictures...but the taste is there).  She's done it again with her Chocolate Cake.  Goodness me!  And want to know how to make your layers even? She tells you how to do it here.

I went to Anthropologie yesterday and bought this book.  Can't wait to start reading it.  I'm wondering if it will make me chic? I've been reading this one and this one.

Did you hear I turned off my email notification?  Find out why.

Loving the Easter round-up over at Decor8 and this one from Hey Look.

SEO is really confusing, but Design Sponge gives some helpful tips.

I love polka dots and I'm thinking about making a little art.

There is something about white.

I need to round up my girlfriends and we need to start having Girls Dinners.  Great idea Ampersand Design.

Organize Chaos?  Really?  Some great tips found over a Sous Style.

Sunday Coffee Sippin'

My Dad hasn't been feeling too good this past week and I've been in Arizona helping my Mom and Sister take care of him.  He had phnemonia (which was super scary) and he is also in the mid-late stages of alzheimers.  To say this has been a stressful week is an understatement.  I'm happy to report - he is feeling better and his spunky personality is back.

It's been so good to be able to be here to take care of him.  For all my AZ friends - sorry I didn't let on that I was in town.  I was really focused on him and helping him get stronger and better.

I'm heading back to California this afternoon.  Sad to leave my Dad, the amazing nursing staff that has been surrounding him and my family...but happy to see my guys.

I have a lot of Sunday Coffee Sippin' updating to do...here are some of my favorites from the week.

A Taco Gift box that anyone would love to receive.

Could the garage be an unexpected place for a home office?  Maybe, but there is more.

This banana pops bar would be so much fun.

Dreamy watercolor flowers.

Has anyone heard of Odopod sketch?  I found it through Creature Comforts blog and looks pretty cool.  I'm gonna have to try it.

Loving these business cards.

ROAR is getting a new logo and I'm so excited Amanda Genther is working on it. YAY!

I'm just a little smitten by these polka dot envelope liners.  I wanna make that!

Have you set your goals?  Don't forget to make them crazy wild.

Sunday Coffee Sippin'

Happy Sunday everyone.  I've had a couple of relaxing days after a super busy week and the weather has been glorious.  Rain is in the forecast, so I'm soaking in as much sun as I can.  I'm looking forward to being back on my schedule.  I was so busy last week that I have a ton of catching up to do in my google reader.

So cheers to coffee and the time change (yay! for it staying lighter later).

I love A Cup of Jo's tips to keep the spark alive with date nights.

I wanna make these Black Bottom Cupcakes from Bakerella.

These tissue lanterns are so adorable from Oh Happy Day.  We just used a bunch for an event - they add so much personality to a room.

Fifi Cheek did stunning round-up of backyard oasis'.  I'd love to call one of them my own.

Love flowers but can never remember the name?  Wedding Chicks did a great flower guide.

Do you set boundaries?  This is something I'm really working on.

Erin from House of Earnest did a fab job with her shelf build-out and she did a fun little video to show you how to style it.

How Sweet It Is did a seriously delicious looking Smoky White Bean Chicken Chili that I'm gonna have to make this week.

I'm dying over all the crazy, unexpected elements of this wedding over at 100 Layer Cake and going to figure out how to incorporate them into corporate events.

Now this is a unique spin on a  home office via Miss Design.

I could use as much help as possible when it comes to accessorizing necklaces (events, I'm fine) - this is a great little lesson from Pencil Shavings Blog.
