Get the Look: A Breakfast Basket

I'm starting a new series - Get the Look.  Basically, I'm finding a picture that inspires me and I'm going to recreate it - just for you.  My first "Get the Look" is this great breakfast basket that I first saw on the Martha Stewart Living website.  Ritzy Bee events actually helped their groom put it together for his bride.

Of course it got me thinking of how this darling breakfast basket could be incorporated into a corporate event.  One of the first ideas that came to mind was this would be perfect for incentives.  Picture individual baskets being delivered to the guests rooms one morning.  It would be such a delight and unexpected.  You would definitely be able to add personal touches, favorite items or a note.  Wouldn't you love this surprise at your doorstep?

I'm not sure you know this, but we love to put together branded gifts, favors and baskets for our clients.  We want the gift that the guest is receiving to be an experience much like the event they are attending.  In our eyes, both go hand in hand.

So here is one of the best parts of Get the Look.  I'm going to tell you exactly how to get it.

Breakfast Basket Goodies

01. Crate & Barrel has the Small Weck Jar which is perfectly sizes for granola.

02. Crate & Barrel has the Large Weck Jar that is great for your juice of choice.  I think it would be super fun to add mini champagne bottles with orange juice - Mimosa time!

03. I found the wooden utensils at Petite Party Studio.  You can order online or if you live in Gilbert, AZ you can go into their darling store.

04. I'm crazy about My Drap napkins and West Elm has you covered.  They come in a roll, are washable and come in a multitude of colors.

05. There are so many uses for these wooden berry baskets - muffins or berries and you can purchase them from Think Garnish.

06. Siggi's Yogurt or if you have a personal favorite can be purchased at most grocery stores.

07. You can opt for the traditional picnic basket, but I tend to go for something a bit more unexpected.  These Reisenthel European Market Tote baskets from the Container Store add just the right touch in my eyes.  (psst - you can get them in a variety of colors to match your corporate logo or theme).

08. You can select any type of breakfast pastry or bread.  I chose a Lemon Lime Muffin because I thought it would be refreshing.

Have you seen something that inspires you but don't know where to start or how source the items?  Submit your picture and we'll Get the Look for you.

Food: Mini Salads & Perfect Size Containers

When you're planning a reception, lots of times you don't think about including salad in the mix.  To get your veggies, you might opt for a veggie tray.  That's kinda boring if you ask me.  I'm all about the presentation.  Here are some fun bite-size salads and darling little containers that everyone would enjoy.

Wondering what you might want to serve your salad in?  Here are some serving options.  First up - disposables from Think Garnish.  They have some great ideas on their website if you are looking for more inspiration.

Looking for china options?  My favorite places to head are CB2, West Elm, World Market and Pier 1.  My style is simple and I tend to lean towards white because I don't like the food to compete with the dish.  One thing to keep in mind - don't think you always need to use a bowl for salad.  Try a marini glass or a shot glass.  Out of the box and unique, that's what makes a statement.

Color Crush:: Nautical Navy

I absolutely love blue...and navy in particular.  Don't you just want to sail away?  Summer is coming and that means we're going to get lots of time on the boat and soaking up the sun.

I love wearing navy.  In some instances, I think it's the new black.  I was going through my closet and if you can believe it, I actually have more navy pieces than black.  Shocking I know.

Add some pops of navy into your interior design - vases, pillows, throws and prints.  I personally feel that navy blue is a calming color.  At least it really calms me.

Enjoy!

Currently Obsessed No. 2 {HOME}

This weeks obsessions are all about the home.  I'm so in the mood to move some furniture around and do a little redecorating.  Look out!

I've been seeing this 1//IKEA rug and can't decide if I want it in my kitchen or under our dining room table.  Our kitchen/dining area isn't that big and these 2//CB2 bar stools would be perfect for the space.

Those 3//West Elm dog plates are completely adorbs! The 4//Jayson Athena Gold Tray would be a great addition to our family room.

The 5//Champagne flutes would be a nice little addition to the bar.  The 6//Serena & Lily drink dispenser is a must have for summer parties.  I'm been dying for a 7//diptyque freesia candle.

Last but not least...this 8//IKEA candle holder needs to be in our backyard coffee table.
